Two arrested on drug charges in Williston

(WILLISTON) — Two people were arrested last Thursday after Williston Police and the Northwest Narcotics Task Force (NWNTF) served a search warrant at a local hotel following the receipt of information about a large quantity of methamphetamine being stored inside a hotel room.

While serving the search warrant, law enforcement seized 4,082 grams of suspected methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $144,000. Law enforcement also seized $2,100 in cash and two firearms.

Arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia were Jason Ruiz and William Moen. Both men have bonded out of custody as of Monday.

The investigation is ongoing, and further charges are being sought for the individuals involved. The NWNTF is in charge of the investigation.
