Williston man dies in crash north of Ray

(WILLIAMS COUNTY) — A 53-year-old Williston man is dead after a single-vehicle crash Thursday night north of Ray. It happened just after 6:30 p.m.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the man was driving a 2013 Peterbilt 389 northbound on 115th Avenue NW, just north of Ray, when the driver appeared to have a medical emergency. The semi he was driving went off the road and into the east ditch. The semi continued through a fence and struck a tree row, before coming to rest in the front yard of a residence.

The driver was pronounced dead on scene.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
