North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum on debate stage Wednesday

(Fargo, ND) -- North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum is preparing for this week's first Republican Presidential Debate.  

The field of candidates will meet in Milwaukee this Wednesday, August 23rd at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.  

Burgum has been making appearances on the weekend news shows lately as he works to raise his national profile.  

Former President Trump has said he will not attend this debate.  

In addition, to Governor Burgum others expected in Milwaukee include Mike Pence, Asa Hutchinson, Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Senator Tim Scott and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.  

The debate will be broadcast llve on AM 1100 The Flag.

Steve Hallstrom will anchor the coverage beginning at 7:30 pm. 

Scott Hennen and Jay Thomas will also provide commentary.
