Hoeven nominates Williston Library for national medal

(WILLISTON) -- The Williston Community Library has been nominated for a national medal award. The Library said, in a social media post last week, that Senator John Hoeven nominated the library for the Institute of Museum and Library Services' 2024 National Medal for Museum and Library Service. The National Medal recognizes libraries and museums of "every type and size that deeply impact their communities."

The library is asking citizens to submit letters of support for the library. Those who wish to write a letter or tell a story about how the library has impacted them as individuals or a family, or the community, are asked to do so by August 31. The letters can be dropped off to the library or emailed to libraryci [dot] williston [dot] nd [dot] us.
