North Dakota Highway Patrol recognized for maintaining "highest levels of professional standards"

(Fargo, ND) -- The North Dakota Patrol is being recognized for maintaining the highest professional standards.

"So it covers everything from HR and how we handle complaints all the way through to the equipment we issue to officers and officer's safety aspect, do you have body armor, do you have cameras," said Highway Patrol Superintendent Colonel Brandon Solberg.

Solberg says the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies has once again awarded the agency advanced accreditation. It marks the 15th consecutive year the Highway Patrol has earned the distinction. To maintain that status, the NDHP must comply with more than 350 professional public safety standards.

Solberg says the NDHP became of the first state law enforcement agencies in the nation to earn the advanced accreditation.

“Our dedicated team members continually prove they’re capable of meeting the highest standards of professional excellence in the field of law enforcement,” said Solberg.
