Two-Vehicle Crash in Medina Caused by Medical Incident

(Medina, ND) -- A two-car crash late Sunday afternoon in Medina is said to have occurred due to a medical incident.

The North Dakota State Highway Patrol says the Kenworth semi was headed westbound on I-94 when the driver, 62-year-old Michael Jones, suffered a medical condition while driving causing him to lose control. That's when the semi crossed the median and entered the eastbound lane of I-94, striking the eastbound Kia Sedona before entering the south ditch.

The occupants of the Kia, 60-year-old Dana Wheeler and 54-year-old Jean Wheeler, were uninjured.

Jones was taken to Jamestown Regional Medical Center due to the medical condition.

Charges are pending.
