Flag Rose for 14-year-old Killed in Random Attack Last Week

(Fargo, ND) -- A message of love and hope rang out at Sanford Health Wednesday morning as many from the Fargo community came out to show their support to the friends and family of Jupiter Paulsen.

The 14-year-old was skateboarding to her mother's home last Friday morning near the Party City in South Fargo when Arthur Kollie brutally strangled and stabbed her to death.

"Seeing all the faces, people I've never met before, come to an event like this, shows that the town is going to start healing," said Robert Paulsen, Jupiter's father at the flag raising.

Paulsen said his daughter had a beautiful smile, and was a true loving soul who who help so many others, while cracking a joke here or there as well.

As far as services for Jupiter, Robert says he hopes to have two different ones, including one for the entire community to attend, at the end of June.

Kollie is being held on $1 million cash bail at the Cass County Jail, and is set to have his Attempted Murder charge increased to a Murder charge from the incident.
