The North Dakota Oil and Gas Division was notified of a fire occurring Wednesday, April 22 at the J.W. FISKETJON 1 saltwater disposal well, about four miles northwest of Watford City, North Dakota.
BNN North Dakota, LLC reported Wednesday that an estimated 550 barrels of brine were released due to a fire on location; cause has yet to be determined. Product was contained on-site. A state inspector has been to the location and will monitor response and cleanup.
