Warm and Windy Weekend

The coming weekend looks to be some of the warmest weather we have seen so far this year however, the winds are also going to pick up. A clipper system will move just to the north which will increase our winds out the south between 10-20 mph with gust up to 30mph. Most of the area will break into the 50's and even some 60's in western North Dakota and South Dakota on Saturday with mostly sunny conditions. Wind gust will pick up overnight Saturday gusting up to 40mph in some areas as temperatures drop into the mid-upper 30's. Then upper 50's and low 60's will move into eastern North Dakota on Sunday. Winds will continue to be breezy out of the south as they transition from the northwest into the afternoon between 10-20mph with gust up to 30mph. It will be a great weekend to head outside and fly some kites, and enjoy this breezy...but nice warm weather and sunshine! Warmth will continue into the middle of next week with highs in the mid 50's on Monday and Tuesday.

We are still monitoring a possible storm Tuesday evening into Wednesday, there is still a lot of uncertainty with this low-pressure path and strength witch will greatly affect possible impacts. We will keep you updated over the weekend, and into the beginning of the week as this low pressure begins to work its way inland.
