Wind Chill Warning....coldest weather settles in this weekend....20s back in the forecast

Cold cold and more cold.  The "heart" of the arctic air mass will settle overhead this weekend with dangerous wind chills where frostbite can occur in fewer than 10 min.  Some areas of the valley will approach 50 below wind chills this weekend.  NOW the good news, this arctic air mass will slowly move to the south and east of the valley and temps will slowly climb into the single digits early next week and 20s by next Friday!!!!  When you factor in the wind chill temps that is a 60 degree swing in temps in one week!!!  For you snow lovers.....as we transition into a more moderate brand of cold, we should see our snow chances increase toward the end of the month and into March.  This is good news as we are down about 12" of snow on the season.  I still see a rather active March with a few big storms possible....it will be close though as the trend has been for these to just slide to the SE of the valley.  Have a great weekend and Happy Valentines Day.....good cuddling weather.
