Timberwolves drop Game Five in Denver

(Denver, CO) -- The Minnesota Timberwolves embarrassed themselves for the third game in a row during a 112-97 loss to the Denver Nuggets in Game Five of the Western Conference Semifinals at Ball Arena.

The Wolves had a two-point lead in the third quarter before Denver took complete control, leading by as many as 18 points. Karl-Anthony Towns led the team with 23 points, while Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert each finished with 18. The Wolves trail 3-2 in the best-of-seven series.

Game Six is in Minnesota on Thursday night. Tip will be at 7:30 p.m. with game coverage available on ESPN.
