Wild + Fleury come to terms on one-year contract extension

Minnesota Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager, Bill Guerin, has announced the extension of Marc-Andre Fleury’s contract on Tuesday.

The extension is for one-year and is worth $2.5 million dollars. This new deal will keep Fleury in a Wild sweater through the 2024-25 season.

The former No. 1 overall pick (2003) has played in 1,024 career NHL games with 994 being starts. He holds a record of 561-329-96 with a 2.60 goals against average, a .912 save percentage, and 75 shutouts.

Fleury has spent the past two-plus seasons with Minnesota since being traded to the Wild from Chicago on March 21, 2022. Since arriving in St. Paul, Minn., Fleury has played in 96 games (91 starts) accruing a record of 50-32-9.

The Wild and Fleury will conclude their 2023-24 campaign on Thursday against the Seattle Kraken at the Xcel Energy Center with puck drop set for 6 p.m.
