Wild collapse in third period against Nashville

(St. Paul, MN) -- The Wild surrendered three goals in the third period during a 3-2 loss to the Nashville Predators at the Xcel Energy Center.

Joel Eriksson Ek gave Minnesota a 1-0 lead with a goal in the second period before Nashville scored three goals in the first 12 minutes of the final frame. Matt Boldy scored with under four minutes left in regulation to get the Wild within one, but they weren't able to knock in the equalizer. Minnesota is in seventh place in the Central Division with 47 points and a 21-22-5 record.

The Wild will host the Ducks on Saturday evening.
