(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Minnesota Gophers opened up the 2023-24 basketball season with an 80-60 rout over Bethune-Cookman at Williams Arena.
The Gophers led by 24 at halftime and coasted to victory from there. Dawson Garcia poured in 23 points in the victory, while Braeden Carrington scored 13.
The 1-0 Gophers host UTSA on Friday.
