(Minneapolis, MN) -- Twins pitcher Sonny Gray has a chance to take home the American League Cy Young Award.
Gray was named one of three finalists for the award by the MLB yesterday. Gray went 8-8 with a 2.79 ERA in 32 starts with Minnesota in 2023. He's up against New York's Gerrit Cole and Toronto's Kevin Gausman. The award winner will be revealed on November 15th.
In other Sonny Gray news, the Twins extended a qualifying offer to the pitcher yesterday. If he declines, Minnesota would get draft compensation if another team signs him in free agency.
