(St. Paul, MN) -- The Minnesota United are heading onto the Leagues Cup Quarterfinals.
After playing to a 2-2 draw in regulation, the Loons beat Toluca in penalty kicks 4-2 at Allianz Field. Joseph Rosales and Bongokuhle Hlongwane both scored in the first half, but Toluca had a pair of second-half goals to force the shootout.
Minnesota will take on Nashville in the Quarterfinals on Friday.
