On Sunday afternoon the Minnesota Twins took down the Kansas City Royals 8-4 to wrap up their weekend series. Minnesota won three out of four games in the series.
Sonny Gray dominated once again picking up his fourth victory. Gray tossed six quality innings with seven strikeouts while only giving up one run. He ended the month of April with a 0.77 ERA.
The offense was led by Byron Buxton’s 453 foot three-run home run, his seventh of the season. Nick Gordon and Christian Vazquez also drove in two runs apiece. Willi Castro added an RBI.

The Twins have an off day on Monday before heading to Chicago for a three game series against the White Sox beginning on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 6:10 p.m. with Joe Ryan set to get the start on the mound.
