University of North Dakota head hockey coach Brad Berry announced the addition of transfer forward Hunter Johannes. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

“We are excited to have Hunter play his final season at North Dakota,” said Berry. “His ability to play a strong, two-way game with size, speed and grit are a perfect addition to our team and what we want our culture to be.”

This past season he played at Lindenwood in their inaugural season as a Division I program. He tallied 29 points on 13 goals and 16 assists.

He spent the first three seasons of his collegiate career at American International totaling nine points on four goals and five assists.

Johannes is the sixth transfer addition to UND for the 2023-24 season. He joins defenseman Garrett Pyke, Keaton Pehrson, and Bennett Zmolek, forward Cameron Berg, and goaltender Ludvig Persson.
