NHL Playoffs begin Monday

The quest for Lord Stanley's Cup begins Monday night.

A pair of games from each conference officially kicks off Round One in the best-of-seven series format.

The Islanders head to Raleigh to play the Hurricanes in a Metropolitan Division showdown. Carolina finished as the No. 1 seed while New York earned the first Wild Card spot. Meanwhile, the top-ranked Bruins welcome the Panthers to TD Garden for an Atlantic Division fight. Boston hopes to add the ultimate trophy to its historic season while Florida looks to play spoiler as the second Wild Card team.

In the West, the No. 3 seeded Minnesota Wild are in Dallas to play the No. 22 Stars in a Central Division battle. The night ends with a marquee matchup between Pacific Division rivals as Connor McDavid and the No. 2 seeded Oilers face off against the No. 3 seeded Los Angeles Kings in Edmonton.
