Wednesday afternoon University of North Dakota head hockey coach Brad Berry announced the addition of goaltender Ludvig Persson. He transfers in from Miami (OH) for the 2023-24 season and has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Berry voiced his pleasure surrounding UND’s new goaltender, “We are excited to bring Ludvig into our program.” He continued, “He brings a wealth of experience playing against our league and facing some of the best teams in the nation on a nightly basis. We look forward to having his immediate impact for our team this upcoming season.”

In three seasons at Miami (OH), Persson appeared in 82 games. He was the RedHawks’ team most valuable player in 2020-21 and 2021-22. Additionally, he ranked fourth all-time in program history with 2,451 saves.

In his three seasons at Miami (OH), Persson has been named the NCHC Goaltender of the Week seven times. He has also earned NCHC Goaltender of the Month twice.
