Tampa Bay Rays off to MLB's best start since 1987

(Tampa, FL) -- The Tampa Bay Rays are off the to the best start to a season in the MLB since 1987.

The team has started the season 10-0 and is now tied with 1966 Indians, 1962 Pirates and 1955 Dodgers for third best start all time. The Rays will now look to pass the 1981 Oakland Athletics who won 11 straight games to start the season. The record for best start to a big league season is held by the 1987 Milwaukee Brewers and the 1982 Atlanta Braves, who both raced out to 13-0 starts.

Tampa's next game is tonight at home against the Boston Red Sox.
