North Dakota State quarterback Cam Miller, wide receiver DJ Hart, and left guard Nash Jensen are being honored by the Missouri Valley Football Conference. All three earned MVFC Player of the Week honors for their performances in NDSU’s 42-21 victory over North Dakota, the league office announced on Monday, Nov. 21.

Miller, a junior, was named the MVFC co-Offensive Player of the Week. He racked up a career-high 16 carries for 93 yards along with a school record-tying five rushing touchdowns. Miller, a Solon, Iowa native shared the award with Northern Iowa quarterback Theo Day who threw for a career-high 380 yards and six touchdowns in a 58-14 win over South Dakota.

Hart, a junior, earned the MVFC Special Teams Player of the Week after returning three kickoffs for an average of 24.3 yards, including a career-high 156 all-purpose yards against the Fighting Hawks. The Atlanta, Ga. native, had returns of 27, 28, and 47 yards, but ended the day with 73 return yards after penalties negated a total of 29 yards. Hart also led the Bison with two receptions for 83 yards that included a career-long 76 yard reception.

Jensen, a senior, was named the MVFC Offensive Lineman of the Week. The Maple Grove, Minn. native, posted a 95 percent grade with no penalties, sacks, or quarterback hits allowed. The Bison rushed for 363 yards and six touchdowns against North Dakota while averaging a total of 6.6 yards per carry. NDSU posted a season-high 522 yards of total offense with 35:25 time of possession.

This was the second time Miller has earned a MVFC award, also being named the Newcomer of the Week in the 2020-21 spring season. This is both Hart and Jensen’s first MVFC Player of the Week honor.
