NDSU’s Tanchin Has Been Named the Summit League Volleyball Co-Offensive Peak Performer of the Week

     North Dakota State senior outside hitter Syra Tanchin has earned her first TicketSmarter Summit League Co-Offensive Peak Performer of the Week honor. Elizabeth Juhnke of South Dakota was also named the Co-Offensive Peak Performer of the Week.

     Tanchin has helped lead NDSU (12-5, 5-0 Summit) to the programs first 5-0 start in Summit League play since the 2010 season. This past week she tallied a team-high 49 kills, while also averaging a team-leading 4.45 kills per set. Tanchin racked up double-digit kills in all three matches for the Bison, including a career-high 26 kills against South Dakota.

     This season she has accumulated 229 kills, good for third in the Summit League. She is also fourth in the league, averaging 3.69 kills per set.

     NDSU will host North Dakota on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m.
