MSUM Dragons Football Picked Ninth In The NSIC Preseason Coaches Poll

     The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference football’s preseason coaches poll has been announced. The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons are projected to finish tied for fourth in the North Division with the University of Mary and ninth overall in the conference.

     Bemidji State has been selected to win the North Division. Augustana is projected to win the South Division and conference overall. The NSIC consists of 14 teams divided into two divisions of seven teams.

     A pair of Dragons in junior wide receiver Ryan Bieberdorf and sophomore linebacker Josiah Behm have been named to the NSIC Players to Watch List.

     Last season Bieberdorf caught 59 passes for 696 yards and seven touchdowns with three 100-yard receiving games. He has 103 career receptions in two seasons with the Dragons.

     In 2021 Behm was an All-NSIC North Second Team honoree. He racked up a team-high 86 tackles with three interceptions. At Bemidji State, Behm recorded a career-high 15 tackles.

MSUM will open the 2022 season hosting Sioux Falls on Thursday, September 1.
