Former Dragon Jim Kapitan Has Been Inducted into the NSIC Hall of Fame

     Jim Kaptian, a Minnesota State University Moorhead men’s basketball standout from 1975-79 has been inducted into the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Hall of Fame.

     A 6-foot-4 forward, he was a two-time All-NSIC First-Team honoree. Kapitan is third in NSIC history averaging 9.7 rebounds per game (RPG) in conference play. He was also the NSIC rebound champion in 1977-78 and earned All-District 13 honors twice.

     Kapitan is a St. John, Ind. native, who is third all-time at MSUM in rebounds with 927 and 11th in scoring with 1,468 points. He has the second-best rebounds per game average in school history with 9.6 (RPG).
