(Scottsdale, AZ) -- The jersey Wayne Gretzky wore during the Edmonton Oilers 1987-88 Stanley Cup-winning season sold for more than one-point-four million dollars at auction Sunday night. That's the most ever paid for a hockey jersey.

The '88 Stanley Cup was the fourth and final NHL title of Gretzky's record-setting career.

Just a few months after the Oilers won the Cup, the player considered by many to be the greatest ever was traded to the Los Angeles Kings.
