NDSU Baseball’s Williams Has Been Named The Summit League Athlete Of The Month

     On Thursday morning North Dakota State catcher Logan Williams was named the TicketSmarter Summit League Athlete of the Month for March.

     NDSU went 11-4 in March, led by Williams’ .362 batting average and .894 slugging percentage. He added a team-high 22 RBI, 42 total bases, and 17 hits in 15 games. The Kailua, Hawaii native brought the power hitting eight home runs, including having seven straight games with a homer.

     On March 27 Williams hit two grand slams and drove in a program best 8 RBI in the Division I era in a 15-1 victory over Northern Colorado. He was one RBI shy of tying the school record nine RBI in a single game. Williams also earned the Summit League Athlete of the Week on March 28 for the first time in his collegiate career.

     The Bison will welcome St. Thomas to Newman Outdoors Field on Friday with first pitch slated for 6:30 p.m.
