Matt Entz Has Earned His Third Straight AFCA FCS Region 4 Coach Of The Year Award

     On Monday, December 6 the American Football Coaches Association awarded NDSU Bison head coach Matt Entz the AFCA FCS Region 4 Coach of the Year Award for the third straight time.

     Under Entz this season NDSU has an 11-1 overall record. They also won the Missouri Valley Football Conference and are playing in the NCAA FCS playoffs quarterfinals. The second seeded Bison will host No. 7 seed Eastern Tennessee State on Saturday, December 11 at 11 a.m.

     In three years leading the Bison, Entz has a 34-4 record. NDSU won the 2019 FCS national championship in his first season as head coach after spending the previous 5 seasons as the defensive coordinator. He was also named the AFCA FCS National Coach of the Year in 2019 after becoming the first Division I coach to lead his team to a 16-0 record in his first season.

     Entz has already won the Missouri Valley Coach of the Year, along with being one of 17 finalists for the Stats Perform FCS Eddie Robinson Award, given to the FCS coach of the year.
