NDHSAA to decide fate of sports, fine arts

The North Dakota High School Activities Association’s board of directors is set to meet today, beginning at 5 p.m., to discuss several items. Among the topics is the fate of winter tournaments, including the State Class B Boys Basketball Tournament, spring sports and fine arts contests.

On April 14, at the NDHSAA board meeting, the board of directors voted to extend the indefinite suspension of Spring Sports in accordance with Governor Burgum’s Executive Order 2020-10 requiring the closure of all public and non-public K-12 school facilities indefinitely, as well as Federal social distancing guidelines due to COVID-19. Winter Basketball State Tournaments and Fine Arts contests also remain suspended indefinitely.
