Twins take down Dodgers in LA

(Los Angeles, CA) -- The Minnesota Twins earned their first win over the Dodgers since 2011 with a 5-1 victory at Dodger Stadium.

Kyle Farmer had an RBI single in the top of the first inning, and the Twins led the rest of the way. Farmer finished with a home run and three RBI, while Ryan Jeffers and Willi Castro also drove in runs. Bailey Ober improved to 3-and-0 after holding Los Angeles to one run on six hits in six innings. The Twins have won three of four.

Clayton Kershaw was charged with his third loss after surrendering two runs in four innings. The loss ends the Dodgers' six-game winning streak.

The Twins and Dodgers will square off in their series rubber match on Wednesday with first pitch set for 2:10 p.m. Sonny Gray will be on the bump for Minnesota.
