(Buffalo, NY) -- The man accused of last weekend's mass shooting at a Buffalo grocery store has been indicted by a grand jury.
Prosecutors allege 18-year-old Payton Gendron killed 10 people and injured three others, almost all of them Black. Gendron appeared in court Thursday, and at one point during the proceeding a person in the courtroom yelled that he was a coward.
Gendron is charged with murder and is being held without bail. His next court appearance is June 9th.
