(McKenzie Co., ND) -- Officials with North Dakota Oil and Gas say vandalism is to blame for a spill of produced water near Watford City. Officials say someone opened valves at the Abraxas Petroleum oil well site on Sunday. Over 400 barrels of produced water, which is a mixture of salt water and oil, spilled. Most has been cleaned up and the process is being monitored by a state official.
