(Bismarck, ND) -- Health officials say a higher percentage of younger people in North Dakota are being hospitalized for COVID-19. Officials say hospitalizations increase almost 300-percent since mid-March and 37-percent of them are under age 60. Of those patients, 25-percent are under the age of 50. Director of Disease Control Kirby Kruger cites a lower vaccination rate and increased activity by younger, middle-aged adults as possible reasons for the increase.
