North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum accuses President Joe Biden of "vote buying"

(Fargo, ND) -- North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum is criticizing President Biden's efforts aimed at canceling student debt.

"The citizens understand those are like pre-election payoffs. Those are like you know, hey folks, please vote for us because we're relieving your debt. So at what point does it crossover, programs like student debt to just vote buying," said Burgum.

Burgum said "there is vote buying going on at a scale like we've never seen before."

The Governor made the comments while appearing on CNN Sunday.
