(Bismarck, ND) -- State health officials are going over a recently published plan to build and retain North Dakota's medical workforce.

Authorities say the 2024 through 2029 State Health Improvement Plan prioritizes improvements to community wellness and resilience, and ensures that more North Dakotans will have access to healthcare services, particularly with respect to preventative care.  Other priorities reportedly include better response to state health emergencies, particularly those related to future pandemics.

Officials say they are working to allocate funds to further those goals.
