North Dakota state official: C02 imports critical to oil and gas industry

(Fargo, ND) -- North Dakota's Mineral Resources Director is issuing a warning about the state's oil and gas industry.

"If we do not bring carbon dioxide from somewhere outside North Dakota we then go into terminal decline. That terminal decline ends at about 20 billion barrels total. We can add ten billion barrels to that if we import carbon dioxide," said Lynn Helms.

Helms made the comments while appearing on The Flag's "What's on Your Mind".
