(Fargo, ND) – Delegates from District 37’s Republican Party will be allowed to be seated and have a voice following contentious debate in the opening hours of the North Dakota Republican Party Convention at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex in Fargo.

Sources tell WDAY Radio that delegates from the district were not going to be seated and heard at the convention. A representative from District 37 addressed the attendees, saying not seating the delegates would “fracture our party, possibly irreparably.”

815 of the 1,430 eligible votes were against the restriction.
