Court Documents are revealing more information related to former North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem's thought-to-be-lost emails and why they and phone records are being used in a Child Sex Tourism case of a Former Senator.

Documents reveal a voicemail was left for Stenehjem by Former Senator Ray Holmberg the same day a search warrant was conducted against him in November of 2021. Court Documents also revealed investigators spoke with Stenehjem to learn more about the context of the call, who later died suddenly from Cardiac Arrest in late January of 2022.

The emails were thought lost after their deletion following Stenehjem's death, but were rediscovered after investigators learned they were copied onto a device that cracked into the late attorney general's phone
