ND Governor Burgum declares March as Music in Our Schools Month

(Bismarck, ND) -- Governor Doug Burgum has declared March "Music in Our Schools Month" thanks to a petition from students at UND and Grand Forks Public Schools.

The students petitioned local and state governments over the past two weeks to recognize Music in Our Schools Month in response to an administrative proposal threatening to end five full-time music teaching positions from middle and high schools in Grand Forks. It's a move to keep up the pressure on the school district to reject the proposal.
