AAA activates "Tow to Go" service and rideshare vouchers as St. Patrick's Day weekend begins

(WDAY Radio) -- Saint Patrick's Day revelers have a safe option if they determine they've had one too many this weekend.

State officials say Vision Zero's ND Sober Ride program is partnering with AAA to provide Lyft codes for $10 vouchers through the St. Patrick's Day weekend. AAA encourages people to enter the code in the Lyft app, and a safe ride home will be on its way. The code for Lyft is VZPATS24 

Additionally, AAA is also providing "Tow to Go" services throughout the St. Patrick's Day weekend. This service allows intoxicated or otherwise inebriated individuals to call AAA and have them transport you and your vehicle to a location within 10 miles. The company does ask individuals to utilize the service as a "last resort", and encourage people to designate a sober driver, call a friend or family member, stay at the location, or to utilize a taxi or ride service.
