(Bismarck, ND)  --  For the second straight year North Dakota has posted double-digit increases in taxable sales and purchases.

Tax Commissioner Brian Kroshus says the state performed well during 2023 with taxable sales and purchases eleven-and-a-half-percent higher than in 2022.

Statistics released late last month show 26-point-seven-billion-dollars in taxable sales and purchases in 2023 compared to 24-point-one-million-dollars in 2022.

The commissioner says there were annual gains in 14 of 15 major industry sectors last year.
