(Bismarck, ND) -- Nearly 100 students from the fourth grade to the eighth grade are preparing for a major competition.
The kids will be competing in the 2024 North Dakota State Spelling Bee beginning Monday, March 18th at the Bismarck Event Center.
There will be a written test to whittle the field down to 25 finalists and then a battle of the best spellers to determine a champion.
The winner of the State Bee will earn a trip to Washington, D.C. for the 2024 Scripps National Spelling Bee.
