City of Fargo releases bodycam video of July 14th, 2023 fatal officer involved shooting

(Fargo, ND) -- The City of Fargo is releasing the bodycam video of several officers related to the fatal officer involved shooting on July 14th, 2023.

The release was made by the police department on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. The collection of video comes from the body worn cameras of Officer Jake Wallin, Tyler Hawes, Andrew Dotas, Zachary Robinson, and a fleet vehicle's camera. A conversation with Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski is scheduled to occur at 11 a.m. Friday morning to further discuss the bodycam video.

"The department recognizes the public's right to access information and is committed to fostering trust and accountability within the community, while simultaneously being mindful of the grave sensitivity of the situation," said Katie Ettish, a spokesperson with the Fargo Police Department. "Please be advised that the footage may be extremely distressing and viewer discretion is strongly advised as the videos contain sensitive subject matter (including profanity and the use of firearms)."
