Anti-abortion resolution adopted by South Dakota House

(Pierre, SD)  --  The South Dakota House of Representatives is adopting an anti-abortion resolution.

Lawmakers passed it yesterday with by an overwhelming majority.

The constitutional resolution opposes potential abortion ballot measures in this year's election.

Supporters are concerned passing a ballot measure would restrict protections for the mother, unborn children and providers.

Those against the measure are worried about overstepping the constitutional process by not allowing citizens the chance to vote on the matter themselves.
