As of 12 a.m., $29,089,841 had been raised in the 24-hour day of giving. The 2024 amount is more than three million dollars higher than the total raised in the 2023 event.

Executive Director of the Dakota Medical Foundation, Pat Traynor, tells WDAY Radio that the giving will continue throughout the next hour, as western North Dakota charities will wrap up their giving at 1 a.m. Central Time, giving those in the western part of the state a chance to get their giving in.

As for the 2025 edition of Giving Hearts Day, Traynor said the plans are to make the event bigger than it was this year. A highlight of this year was a Giving Hearts Day television show, which aired regionally throughout the state of North Dakota and into Minnesota.
