(Bismarck, ND) -- The are 19 new state troopers getting ready to patrol the state's roadways.
Ten of the 19 were peace officers before joining highway patrol training.
Nine of the troopers have completed 18-weeks of training and are beginning field training today.
The new troopers will train in the field with veteran troopers and have been temporarily assigned to posts across the state.
