(Bismarck, ND) -- The Central Dakota Humane Society is reminding pet owners to be weather-aware during the ongoing arctic freeze.
Last year, the shelter took in two cats that were frozen to the ground. The Humane Society director said owners should shorten walks, as pets should only be outside for short amounts of time.
The Humane Society says if you see animals left out in the cold, it's important to call animal control.
