(Minot, ND) -- A Minot man charged with leading police on a high-speed chase over two counties last year has ended his attempt to withdraw his guilty pleas.

19-year-old Joshua Chambers pleaded guilty in June to seven charges, including felony attempted murder for trying to run down a sheriff's deputy. However, he asked for a new attorney just before he was due to be sentenced. Now he's changed his mind and says he's now ready to be sentenced.

Chambers is accused of leading deputies on a high speed chase that reached up to 100 miles an hour at some times, nearly colliding head on with multiple drivers, and striking a sheriff's deputy. Chambers was charged with attempted murder, possessing drugs in a correctional facility, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, theft, fleeing, aggravated reckless driving, and other charges.
