New North Dakota GOP executive director wants to "maximize liberty" for citizens

(Fargo, ND) -- The new executive director for the North Dakota Republican Party is talking about what his top priorities will be while serving in the position.

"I get to continue to work to try to maximize liberty for the citizens of our state in this role, but also government can't do whatever it wants. So republicans agree on these things," said Andrew Nyhus.

He also said taxes "should be as low as they can be to have the services that people want".

Nyhus will help the NDGOP navigate the 2024 primary election.

He previously served in staff positions for Senators Kevin Cramer and John Hoeven.

He most recently served as Grassroots Executive Director for Americans for Prosperity.
