Governors Burgum and Noem urge President Biden to address border crisis

(Pierre, SD)  --  North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem are urging President Biden to address the southern border crisis.

The pair teamed up with 23 fellow Republican governors in sending the Biden Administration a letter.

It accused the President's policies of incentivizing illegal immigration.

The governors also said, quote, "our states are carrying the burden of both the years-long surge in illegal border crossings and cartels' coordinated trafficking of drugs and human beings."

Governor Noem called the southern border a "warzone" and said that's why she was the first one to send National Guard troops to help secure it two years ago.

Governor Burgum recently deployed guard troops to the southern border as well.
